Questions and answers
The questions our clients ask most often — answered honestly, with numbers.
A one-page site with custom design starts at around 2,500 EUR. A typical corporate website with 8 to 15 pages, a blog and a contact funnel lands between 7,000 and 18,000 EUR. Online shops and web platforms usually start at 25,000 EUR because of catalogue logic, payment and ERP connections. You receive a fixed-price offer per work package after the first workshop, so nothing is billed by surprise.
A landing page takes 3 to 4 weeks. A corporate website needs 8 to 12 weeks from kickoff to launch, a shop or platform 14 to 20 weeks. Roughly a third of that time is concept, content and feedback rounds on your side, so a decision-maker who is available weekly is the single biggest factor for speed. We work in two-week sprints and show you a clickable status at the end of each one.
You do. With the final payment all usage rights to the source code, the design files and the content transfer to you, exclusively and without time or territory limits. We hand over the Git repository, the Figma project and all account credentials. Third-party components stay under their own open-source licences, which we list in the handover document. There is no vendor lock-in and no licence fee for the code we wrote.
Yes. By default we host in German or Austrian data centres, for example Hetzner in Nuremberg and Falkenstein or IONOS in Karlsruhe. If you need edge delivery we use providers with EU-only regions and switch off logging outside the EU. Managed hosting including backups, monitoring and TLS certificates costs between 25 and 180 EUR per month depending on traffic. On request we host on your own infrastructure instead.
Legally the site operator is the controller, so the responsibility stays with you. We build the technical side correctly: consent management before any non-essential cookie, an imprint and privacy page with the required fields, TLS everywhere, and a documented list of every processor involved. We deliver a draft privacy policy based on the tools actually used, but a final legal review by a specialist lawyer is your job. That review typically costs 400 to 900 EUR and we are happy to recommend firms.
Yes, in three tiers. Basic at 149 EUR per month covers updates, backups, uptime monitoring and security patches. Plus at 490 EUR per month adds four hours of content and development work plus quarterly performance reports. Partner from 1,200 EUR per month gives you a fixed team capacity, a four-hour response time and a named contact person. Every tier includes a monthly written report, so you always see what happened.
A single workflow, for example inbox to CRM to calendar, costs 1,500 to 4,000 EUR to build. A document-based chatbot on your own content lands between 6,000 and 14,000 EUR including data preparation and evaluation. An AI voice agent for inbound calls starts at 9,000 EUR setup. On top come running model and telephony costs, usually 80 to 600 EUR per month depending on volume. We always start with a paid two-week feasibility check for 1,900 EUR so you can decide on facts.
Standard German and lightly coloured regional accents work reliably, with word error rates typically under five percent on clean telephone audio. Strong Swiss German, Bavarian or Saxon speech is harder, and we measure it before go-live with a hundred real recordings from your own line. Where accuracy drops we add a domain vocabulary of place names, product names and spellings, which usually recovers most of the gap. For the rest we build a clean handover: after two failed understanding attempts the agent transfers to a human without making the caller repeat everything.
Technical fixes such as indexing, page speed and structured data show up in Search Console within 2 to 6 weeks. Rankings for local and long-tail terms usually move within 3 to 4 months. Competitive national terms realistically need 9 to 12 months of consistent content and link work. We report monthly on impressions, clicks and rankings for a fixed keyword set, so you can see the trend long before the revenue arrives.
For a local service business we recommend at least 800 EUR media budget per month, for national B2B campaigns at least 2,500 EUR. Below that the algorithm gets too few conversions per week to optimise, and every test takes months. Our management fee is 15 percent of media spend with a floor of 590 EUR per month. Plan roughly six weeks of learning phase before you judge the numbers.
Yes. We take over existing installations, clean up plugin bloat, fix security issues and improve Core Web Vitals, usually in a 2 to 4 week package from 2,400 EUR. If the site is on a page builder with heavy technical debt, we say so honestly and compare the cost of repair against a rebuild. We also run WordPress as a headless content backend behind a Next.js frontend when the editorial team wants to keep the familiar interface. No migration happens without a full staging test and a rollback plan.
Project work runs on a fixed-price contract per work package with no minimum term. Retainers for maintenance, advertising or AI operations have a three-month initial term and can then be cancelled with four weeks notice to the end of a month. There is no automatic annual renewal. If you cancel, you keep all accounts, code and data, and we support the handover for up to ten working hours free of charge.
You get one project lead as a single point of contact, plus a shared channel in Slack or Microsoft Teams for day-to-day questions. There is a fixed 30-minute video call every week and a written sprint summary every second Friday. All tasks, decisions and open questions live in one board you can see at any time. We answer within one working day, and urgent production issues within four hours under a maintenance contract.
Launch day includes a technical checklist: redirects, sitemap submission, analytics verification, form tests and a load test. For 30 days afterwards every bug in the agreed scope is fixed free of charge as warranty work. In week four we run a joint review with the first real usage data and propose concrete improvements. From there you either move into a maintenance contract or take over yourself with the documentation and a recorded handover session.
Yes. We sign a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR before any access to personal data, and we provide the template as a standard document. It includes our technical and organisational measures, the list of sub-processors with their locations, and the deletion routine at the end of the contract. If you prefer your own template we review it within three working days. For AI projects we additionally document which model provider processes which data and where.
Since 28 June 2025 the German Accessibility Strengthening Act applies to consumer-facing e-commerce, banking, transport and telecommunications services. Micro-enterprises with under ten employees and under two million EUR annual turnover are exempt for services, but the exemption does not cover products. We build to WCAG 2.1 level AA as standard: keyboard operation, contrast ratios, focus states, semantic markup and correct form labels. An accessibility audit of an existing site costs 1,800 to 4,500 EUR depending on scope and ends with a prioritised remediation plan.
Yes, that is our default setup. We use separate URL paths per language, translated slugs, hreflang annotations and a language switch that keeps the user on the same page. Content is managed per language in the CMS, so your Austrian and Swiss texts can differ from the German ones where they need to. Adding a second language to an existing project costs 1,200 to 3,500 EUR of technical work plus translation. We work with your translators or arrange specialist translation at 0.14 to 0.22 EUR per word.
Projects are billed in three instalments: 40 percent at kickoff, 30 percent at design approval and 30 percent at launch. Projects above 25,000 EUR are billed monthly against progress instead. Invoices are due within 14 days net, by bank transfer, in EUR plus statutory VAT. For clients in Austria and Switzerland we invoice under the reverse-charge procedure where the requirements are met. Retainers are invoiced in advance at the start of each month.
