Development
Senior Frontend Developer (Next.js)
- Location
- Berlin or fully remote (EU time zones)
- Employment
- Full-time, permanent, 4-day week optional
The role
You own the frontend of client projects from the first component to the production launch. We build with Next.js, TypeScript and a shared component library, and we care about Core Web Vitals as much as about clean code. Expect three to five projects a year, not thirty tickets a week.
What you will do
- Build production frontends with Next.js App Router, TypeScript and server components
- Translate Figma designs into accessible, responsive interfaces at WCAG 2.1 AA
- Own performance budgets and keep LCP under 2.5 seconds on real client hardware
- Extend and maintain our internal component library and its documentation
- Review pull requests and mentor two mid-level developers
- Work directly with clients in weekly calls, in German or English
What we expect
- At least five years of professional frontend work, three of them with React
- Deep TypeScript knowledge, including generics and strict mode
- Practical experience with Next.js rendering strategies and caching
- Solid understanding of accessibility, semantics and browser rendering
- German at C1 level and English at B2 level, both in writing and on calls
- Experience with testing tools such as Playwright or Vitest
What we offer
- Gross annual salary of 72,000 to 92,000 EUR depending on experience
- Optional four-day week at 90 percent salary after the probation period
- Fully remote within EU time zones, with two team weeks per year in Berlin
- Hardware of your choice and a 1,500 EUR yearly budget for conferences and courses
- Fixed Friday afternoon for internal work: refactoring, tools, experiments
- 30 days of holiday plus 24 and 31 December off
