About the project

Hartmann & Voglreiter is an eleven-lawyer commercial firm in the first district, strong in construction and employment disputes. Their website read like an internal org chart: eighteen practice areas in alphabetical order, no indication of who does what, and a PDF fee schedule from 2019. Prospective clients called the switchboard and were passed around, and the partners had no idea which channel produced mandates. We rewrote the site around client situations rather than legal categories, built a structured intake form that reaches the right partner directly, and launched tightly targeted search campaigns for the two areas with the best margins. Qualified enquiries roughly doubled in the first half-year, and the partners can finally name their best-performing channel.

What we did

  • Design

We replaced the alphabetical practice-area list with entry points written the way clients describe their problem: a supplier stopped delivering, a works council is blocking a restructuring, a construction schedule has slipped. Partner profiles now lead with decided cases and speaking engagements instead of a CV list. The typographic system is deliberately sober — serif headlines, generous white space, no stock handshakes.

  • Development

The site is statically generated and bilingual German and English, with a conflict-check-friendly intake form that captures matter type, opposing party and urgency before it ever reaches a lawyer. Submissions are encrypted at rest and routed by practice area, with a two-hour acknowledgement rule enforced by the system. All hosting and backups stay inside Austria.

  • Advertising

Paid search is limited to construction and employment law and to a defined radius around Vienna, with negative keyword lists that filter out consumer and criminal enquiries. Each ad group has its own landing page and its own phone number, so mandate attribution is unambiguous. We report cost per accepted mandate, not cost per click.

  • Accompaniment

Every month we publish two commentary pieces drafted by the firm and edited by us, refresh the campaign keyword sets, and review the intake funnel with the managing partner. Legal notice and privacy texts are checked against current Austrian requirements twice a year.

What they say about us

5.0
We were sceptical about cutting eighteen practice areas down to six on the homepage. It was the right call — the enquiries we now receive are in the fields we actually want. Reporting in cost per accepted mandate changed how the partnership talks about marketing altogether.
