About the project
solar sits on the seventeenth floor with a glass front over the whole southern skyline. Their previous site opened with a text block about opening hours. We inverted it: the first screen is the view at night, the second is the choice between restaurant, bar and event space, and reservations sit one tap away on every screen. The event-space enquiry — the highest-value request they get — used to be a mail address in the footer; it is now a short form that asks the four things the events manager needs before calling back.

What we did
Design
Dark interface with a single acid-yellow accent, so the wordmark reads against night photography. Menus are typeset as menus — not as PDF downloads — and stay readable at arm-s length on a phone in a dim bar.
Development
Reservations run through the existing booking provider in an embedded flow that keeps the brand shell, so guests never feel handed off. Menus are editable by the floor manager without a developer.
Accompaniment
Seasonal menu updates, event photography rotation, and a check before every long weekend that the booking embed still behaves after the provider ships an update.

What they say about us
Our old site explained us. The new one shows us. The event form was the part we argued about most and it is the part that pays for the whole project.
