About the project

VeloHerz sells premium e-bikes and cargo bikes from two showrooms in Munich, with an average basket north of 3,800 euros. Their old shop was a stock template that treated a 4,200-euro cargo bike exactly like a pair of gloves — no sizing help, no test-ride booking, no financing calculator. Online revenue was flat while showroom traffic kept growing, and their Google Ads account was burning budget on generic keywords like "e-bike kaufen". We rebuilt the storefront around the way their staff actually advise customers, added a test-ride booking that syncs with both showroom calendars, and restructured paid search around model and use-case intent. The shop is now the largest single sales channel, and the ads account spends 22 percent less for more revenue.

What we did

  • Advertising

We scrapped the single catch-all campaign and rebuilt search around model families, cargo-bike use cases and service intent, with separate budgets per showroom radius. Shopping feeds were cleaned up so that frame size, motor and battery capacity appear in the title where they matter for the click. Cost per assisted sale dropped in the first eight weeks and has stayed there.

  • Development

The storefront is a headless build on top of their existing ERP, so stock levels per showroom are accurate to the hour. We wrote a configurator that filters by rider height, terrain and payload, plus a financing calculator that shows the real monthly rate before checkout. Test-ride slots are written into both showroom calendars and confirmed by SMS.

  • Design

Product pages were restructured to answer the four questions the sales floor hears every day: does it fit me, how far does it go, what does it cost per month, and can I try it. We built a comparison view that puts three models side by side without a horizontal scroll on mobile. The whole shop uses a component library the client can extend for seasonal campaigns.

Results in numbers

  • +2.9x

    online revenue year over year

  • -22%

paid search spend at higher volume

  • 148

    test rides booked per month

What they say about us

5.0
You spent two days on our shop floor listening to sales conversations before proposing anything. That is why the configurator asks the right questions instead of the usual filter soup. Our online revenue nearly tripled, but the number I care about more is that customers arrive at the showroom already knowing which model they want.
